MOLD INSPECTIONS
Keep your home safe. Avoid potential health complications
and structural damage with mold testing.
What is Mold?
Molds are fungi that thrive where moisture is present.
Molds produce tiny spores that cannot be seen with the naked eye. These spores float through the air, and after contact with a moist surface, they multiply, forming visible colonies.
Why is Mold Testing Necessary?
Mold colonies are actively damaging the surfaces they live on, which can cause potentially dangerous and expensive structural integrity concerns.
Mold also poses a threat to human health when it begins producing spores, causing issues such as: allergic reactions, respiratory illnesses, skin irritation, and worsening asthma symptoms.
By identifying mold spore abnormalities and visible mold, you can create a safer environment and quality of life.
How RAM Tests Mold Levels
To test the amount of molds and mold spores present, RAM offers indoor air quality testing, surface sampling, and visual inspections.
For indoor air quality testing:
RAM uses specialized equipment that pulls air in, capturing mold spores. This process takes around 5-10 minutes. These spores are then sent to a lab to be analyzed.
For surface sampling:
RAM collects swab samples from areas with moisture, and areas that are irregular looking. These swabs are then sent to a lab to be analyzed.
Lab results for both types of mold testing are ready within 24-48 hours. These results will determine if mold levels are unsafe, and if remediation is needed.
For visual inspections:
RAM performs moisture readings and thermal imaging. These tests detect and pinpoint moisture sources that could lead to mold growth.
